I just wanted to let everyone know I will be back to blogging soon. My computer has been broken, really broken! It had been having a lot of problems for several months, e.g. crashing a lot, but thankfully God allowed it to hold off until we got our dossier done. As soon as that was done, however, the computer died! It won't even start up now. I know it's bad when even my husband can't fix it considering I've never seen a computer he can't fix. However, I'm pretty sure if he had the right equipment he could do it, but it doesn't make me feel good to hear him using words like "motherboard" and "expensive." However, the bills had to be paid so I finally had to resort to using his computer, which isn't very fun since I usually prefer to work on the computer at the same time as him so we can be together while we're on the computer. It's not as fun in here by myself!
Anyways, the point is I haven't quit blogging, and once my computer is done I'll be back to it regularly. I'll probably even do some posting before then on my husband's computer. He enjoys reading my blog and sharing it with others, so I guess even if I end up doing it late at night after he's done on his computer it's still worth it!
Our dossier is in China now, and the race is on to beat Christian's 14th birthday. We recently got a new picture of him, and I can't wait to share it since it's the first one we have of him really smiling (which made us wonder if they told him he had a family). He's a really handsome kid! Someone from our agency is going to China next week to meet with the Journey of Hope kids (the group he's in), so hopefully we'll get even more pictures and some more info soon. Also, in about a month another adoptive family will be traveling to Micaelyn's city so we should get some pictures of her also!
Aside from the adoption journey, life has been busy with both Caleb and Malachi playing t-ball now with Ernie coaching, new kittens being born, Caleb losing his first tooth, hiking, picnics, and other springtime fun. Ernie has been greatly enjoying having me mow the yard and seems to feel like the luckiest man in the world when he sits out in the evening with me watching the kids and enjoying the beautiful property God has blessed us with. It's just a little less than 2 acres, which isn't so much out where we live but is a lot compared to where he grew up. We're surrounded by farmland with a view of the Smoky Mountains, so it's really pretty here! Not to mention how much Ernie loves having his wife mow his big yard for him, especially since our mower is just a cheap little push-mower (and it's not self-propelled, and the yard isn't perfectly flat nor is the ground perfectly level). It's not an easy job, but it's so worth it to see the pleasure on my husband's face!
